Puttty is an excellent free telnet and SSH implementation for Windows systems.

Puttty is an excellent program that substitutes an unsecured connection like telnet for a secure connection (this means that the session is encrypted, and even if the traffic is captured, it is too difficult to decrypt the user login and password) based on SSL (Secure Socket Layer) compatible with version 2 of the SSH.

Puttty supports IP6 protocol and has various algorithms to encrypt data (3DES, AES, Blowfish, DES, RC4, etc.). On running Putty you get a window to fill in the many options it has, and get among other things a secure connection to a server, store servers, change the connection port, and many other options.
